MOJO isn’t just about washing cars; it’s about creating a joyful, premium experience that reflects the energy and spirit of the communities it serves. To bring that mission to life, HLW brandx, together with HLW and Spark, transformed MOJO’s digital identity (developed by GALE) into a vibrant, tangible environment. The brand acts as an activation in the space, reminding visitors that a car can be more than transportation; it celebrates the people who take pride in their cars, enjoy quality experiences.

Bringing the Brand to Life: Turning Every Visit Into an Experience

Every Line in Motion: Guiding Visitors Through Energy and Flow

The design highlights movement throughout the space, like the streaks of light from moving cars or he blurred lines of passing scenery seen from a car window. Inspired by the Air Dryer, the graphics use flowing lines, arrow patterns, and MOJO’s waterdrop mark to create a sense of direction and flow. Their placement was carefully planned: visible along main roads to attract new customers with energy and clarity and positioned within the site to provide intuitive wayfinding for visitors already in the carwash.

Design That Adapts: A System Built to Grow

Rather than designing for just one site, HLW worked closely with the client’s digital brand and assets to create a flexible design system. This included signage, graphics, lighting, and architectural elements that could adapt across locations while keeping the brand consistent and strong.

The process began with a visioning workshop and multiple design explorations, which laid the foundations for the design guidelines and a brand toolkit to guide the rollout across multiple sites.

Walls That Speak: Connecting Communities Through Art

One of the most exciting parts of the project is the collaboration with local artists. HLW brandx developed guidelines to help shape the murals, ensuring they reflected the brand and site vision. Working alongside Living Walls, the team selected artists whose style and approach aligned with the vision. Each location features a custom mural that celebrates the identity of the surrounding community; from Georgia’s bold colors or Florida’s coastal vibe, these murals connect MOJO to the people and places it serves, turning the car wash into a cultural experience.

This project is about creating meaningful experiences. Every element, from the graphics, the signage to the murals, builds a sense of pride, place, and progress. The brand is high-energy and human-centered, and personal, while scalable across locations. At MOJO, every clean car is part of a bigger story, one of creativity, community, and joy in motion.
